Hey Friends, I believe you and I were getting pretty tired of every post heading straight to EBAY ! Probably me more than anybody. Anyway, no more of that business for the rest of this year. There are still a couple items on there for auction but nothing new will be added for this year.
I finally stayed in this chair long enough to work on a print shop ( I know of NO other way to put it) at www.FineArtAmerica.com. They "refresh" which means they update every 24 hours so you won't find me on there yet. Maybe tomorrow.
I won't have a great deal on there for a while. I don't want to fill it up with old stuff.
Thanks for stopping by and Hope you find the time to stop in at FAA after the Holidays.
Hey Friends, Are you feeling the pressure yet? Are the kids racing in circles around your legs while you are trying to get everything done?
'Tis that time of the year, right?
It's too late this year unless you are really local (not loco) to order from Ebay. But keep it in mind for next year or the next gift you need to find for Mom or Aunt Lily. A few clicks of the mouse and you will be DONE !
Hey Friends, I'm sure you have heard about the little summer retreat the Double Line Painters took at the end of the summer to Douthat State Park. We enjoyed it so much, we are already looking for the next trip. The painting above is on Ebay for auction. ClickHERE.
The top painting was done from my left side. I looked to my right and got this view. You can camp on the land over there. If you follow the water on around this bend you find the source of the lake water. A beautiful stream. I would like to go back and follow that stream.
This is a plein air piece that I almost finished while still there at Craig's Creek. To the left, a friend was painting the actual Creek. A young man had just passed through with 3-4 beautiful little fish he had caught in the creek. Some form of trout, I believe he said.
Hey Friends, Another painting done at Brookside Park next to the Golf Club. On Williamson Road here in Roanoke, Va. In this very spot is where all the little kiddies like to play. They really like to turn over the rocks and find a craw daddy. The girls let out such piercing squeals and the boys come running. Fun ! Click HERE for ebay.
When I was cleaning out the studio, I found lots of frames and forgotten stuff such as this little Angel. I like it in the Hummingbird frame.
And this poor little Dogwood decided to give up her fight. She made a few little sprouts this year but I'll bet she is gone next year. Hopefully the forest service guys will leave her there for the woodpeckers. Time marches on little dogwood.
Hey Friends, Some new work. I took photos a few months ago of my niece and gran babe walking MAX all around the yard. The sun was going down and glowing through this large bush. I think it was called "Broom". Very pretty but a little difficult to capture in paint. It is on EbayHERE.
Here is another from our trip to Douthat State Park. This was actually a full sized road but I like it better as a path. Really enjoyed that park.
Hey Friends, The images are in weird places, right? I couldn't get them to cooperate so I left them. It's different. Click Here for theEbay Auction. This is painted on Masa Rice Paper. I got so carried away with slathering the paint on, the beauty of this paper is lost. Still like it.
This painting has been on this blog before.
This is a reminder, in case you liked it. Click Here for Ebay.
Hey Friends, This past summer, just a few months ago, and it does seem like years ago. While my GranBabes were playing in the water, I managed to paint this streak of sunlight hitting the rocks on the edge. Great Memories.
Hey Friends, This is one of my plein air works, obviously from the spring. It is for auction on Ebay.
I have a few photos to show you from our hanging at the Jefferson Center in Roanoke this morning.
Above are two of my plein air pieces painted this June and a stained glass piece by Bud Shaw, that I really, REALLY want.
Here is a piece I titled "Anniversary". So silly I know. And the beautiful original violin created by the Double Line Painters, Check out their blog.
Here are two more of mine. A horse on the left and cows on the right. Patty Powers fiber art hanging in the middle. This photo doesn't do any of the works justice. Patty's piece (to me) looks like an undersea world. You should go to the Jefferson Center and see all the great art work and maybe take in one of their events. You owe it to yourself.
I do plan to show you more of the art hanging there for the months of December and January.
Hey Friends, This is available at auction onEBAY. Don't you wish it was green outside again and we were all out there painting away the hours? Can't you just hear the birds and feel the sun going in and out of the clouds?
