BLINDED AT A YOUNG AGE - ORIGINAL ABSTRACT ART

Hey Friends,  Hope your monitor shows the hint of color in this work.  It is listed on my FASO web site HERE

As usual this image came from a song.  Sad part is I can't remember now what song!?

But I was feeling at the time, that the grays and blacks and a hint of color COULD  be the way a person might remember what the world looked like after a few years of no sight.  Maybe it was a Ray Charles song, all though I don't believe he ever had sight.

Anyway I love how it turned out.

A MILLION YEARS AGO - ORIGINAL ABSTRACT PAINTING

Hey Friends,  I hope some of the Glenvar Girls see my blog.  It would give them a little insight into my brain.  Maybe they could even say 'so thats what is wrong with her'.  HeeHee.

Looking forward to our pajama party!

This is listed HERE

I just plucked this title out of the air.  I was frustrated that I could not think of anything creative or unique.  I labor over my titles as much as the painting part!  Do You?

It seems to me the title should/could give a viewer some insight into what the artist is trying to say.

I'll get blasted for that statement.

Do you think it fits?

A million years ago what did they use to draw with?  Were humans even around then?  I can't remember our timeline, but what difference does it make?  We say 'a million years ago' for a lot of reasons that make no sense.

So that's my thoughts for this creation.

CELESTIAL SUNFLOWERS #1 AND #2 - ORIGINAL ABSTRACT ART

Hey Friends,  This set can be what you call a dyptch  or they can be displayed indivually.

They were inspired by my last visit to BEAVER DAM FARM in Buchanan, Virginia.  They have a sunflower festival there every year.  AgroTourism, even though they are a dairy farm, they are struggling like most farmers so they started this wonderful festival and I hope you go next year.

This is #1.

Here they are together, a little too together.

Here is #2.

A shot of them together over a desk.  If you love sunflowers I think you will love these.  The colors are very sunflower-ry.

Hope you look at the link to Beaver Dam Farm, if you click on one of the photos, you will see a lot more hidden in there somewhere. And hope for better weather next year.

CONTORTED #2 - ORIGINAL STILL LIFE PAINTING

Hey Friends, I started a series of contorted vases a month or so ago.  This is the 2nd, and posting this has made me realize, I have not posted #1 yet!  I guess I should be expecting this more often!  LOL  It is on my FASO website HERE.

If you were to look at my Instagram you would see it and that I am using acrylic pour skins for these vases (most of them)  This pouring technique is a big pain in the wazoo so I may give it up.  I like different that's why I tried it.

Thanks for stopping in.

LET'S HASH THINGS OUT - ORIGINAL ABSTRACT ART

Hey Friends,  Hope you are having a great month of inspiration and quality time with your loved ones!  I am.  This piece was inspired by another conversation with my sister.  I talk to her more than anyone else.  We have had our disagreements but we usually get them 'hashed out pretty quick'.

I guess we love each other.

This is listed on my website HERE for sale.  In case you didn't know, Shipping is Free.

Thanks for visiting.

WHERE THERE IS PERFECTION - FLORAL IMPRESSION

I wanted to play with some soft feminine colors and tulip shapes.  This vertical canvas seemed perfect for the job.  I can see it in a floater frame or a tropical, beachy, pale color frame.

The shape of this canvas lends it self well to a lot of odd spaces.  Contemporary decor or traditional !

It is for sale on my secure website HERE

DO THE BEST YOU CAN - ORIGINAL SMALL ABSTRACT ART

Hey Friends,  This new piece of inspirational art is listed for sale on my website HERE . You can see it more clearly also.

Did you hear this a lot when you were a kid?  I did on occasion, but mostly I heard "She's not living up to her potential" (teachers).  Now that is inspiring another painting!

Have a wonderful week.

TIME FLIES - ORIGINAL SMALL ABSTRACT PAINTING

Hey Friends,  Always working!  Look out OBX, I'll be there soon.

This is titled "TIME FLIES".   My sister and I were talking about how old our babes are now and WE DO NOT feel old enough to have kids their age!  We all do that, don't we?

Even talking about it shows our age, right?

This is on my website HERE.  And you can see it better!

BUBBLE GUM AND BLEACH - ORIGINAL FLORAL PAINTING

I wanted to use this black canvas with some dramatic back light and contemporary flowers.

This would make a nice statement on any wall!

Shipping is FREE in the US and you have 2 weeks to make a return.

HERE it is on my website.

KEEPING IT TOGETHER - STILL LIFE PAINTING

I enjoy painting flowers in a very loose, impressionistic style.  There is beauty in the photo realistic style but it doesn't have much in the way an expressive artistic painterly statement does it?  I love to see the painters hand in their work.

This and most of my floral pieces are from my imagination.  I have a wide array of artificial flowers that are fun to use.   I drag them out once in a while.

This is painted on YUPO watercolor paper (a plastic paper).  It was fun to work on and I encourage you to give it a try.

This is listed on my website HERE.

Glad you stopped by.
