PLANKTON - ORIGINAL ABSTRACT ART

Hey Friends, Why did I call this one "PLANKTON"??  Probably because of the TV show "Sponge Bob".  My granBabe loves that crazy cartoon  and I was working on this while he watched SB.  I don't even know what plankton looks like really.  Of course I vaguely remember seeing them in hi-school.

This would be cute in a boys room, don't ya think?

You can buy it right from my website HERE!

CATERPILLARS - AN ORIGINAL ABSTRACT PAINTING

Hey Friends,  I know that is a strange title but look at those shapes.  A couple make me think of the wooly worm that predicts winter weather.  And speaking of winter weather, you should go check the Farmers Almanac for whats in store for us here in Va.

This available to purchase right from my website HERE.

Have a lovely day.

MILKWEED AND DANDELIONS - ORIGINAL ABSTRACT PAINTING

Hey Friends,  At some point in your life, I bet you have been traveling on an old country road, maybe with fences, pastures, cows and you have seen milkweed and dandelions growing prolifically !

Usually there are grasses and Queen Ann's Lace thrown in to.

I think these weeds are pretty.  I don't see enough of them which means I probably need to ride around in the country more often.

This is painted with acrylics on 14" x 11" WC Paper that was coated with gesso to start.

It is available on my website  HERE.

Hoping your weekend is going your way.

MINT WAFERS - ORIGINAL ABSTRACT PAINTING

Hey Friends, I love greens, all the different hues and values, maybe I have a tendency to overdo but who can blame me?  You can buy bags of mints that look like mini wafers and some have those tiny white beads on them.

Don't you love the magenta pink with the greens?

This is listed for sale on my website HERE.

A BIT OF YARROW-ORIGINAL ABSTRACT ART

Hey Friends,  A lot of people will not know what 'Yarrow" is.  It is an herb that grows in yellow, pink & white.  I do not know what it is good for, but I bet Google does.  All the colors reminded me of Yarrow.

These abstractions look good in a narrow mat and a white frame.

Or black!

DANDELIONS IN THE BACKYARD-ORIGINAL ABSTRACT ART

Hey Friends,Dandelions are the curse of many male homeowners/groundskeepers.  They can't come to terms with the fact that they can't defeat the beauties.  I had a good chuckle when my GranBabe was wacking all the dandelion blooms off the plants in their front yard.  He was proud that he had killed all the plants his Dad hated!

This is available on my website FASO

CROSAMIA - AN ORIGINAL ABSTRACT PAINTING

Hey Friends,  I have really enjoyed creating these abstracts.  They express all my joy and hopes.  Putting paint down and scratching designs as I go, with anything, is very rewarding.

We have had a patch of crosamia growing on the driveway in the tiny little spring at the bottom of our hill for a long time.

This piece really captures the colors.  Look again on my website HERE.

HISSY FIT - ORIGINAL ABSTRACTED ARTWORK

Hey Friends, Is there anything you mistakenly do over and over again?  I drive myself nuts with the CAPS button on this computer.

Something kept suggesting "Cats" as I painted this piece.  So I did not want to name it after the play,  Hissy Fit seemed to fit.

Cats are always having hissy fits aren't they?

Check it out on my website HERE!

MARIGOLDS - AN ORIGINAL ABSTRACT PAINTING

Hey Friends,  I started a new series on 14" x 11" WC Paper.  You will have an easier time finding a ready made frame for this size.  This is archival paper with gesso applied first to keep the acrylics on top (not sinking in) so you have a longer work time.

I think the scale is a little off in this photo.  That looks like the size it might be in the frame.

Looks good with that navy couch.  I can make any painting "match your couch" if you want your very own, one of a kind, piece of artwork.  We can even do canvas if you aren't crazy about frames.

Available HERE on my website.

Hope you are enjoying (liking) my abstracts.   They have unleashed a new inspiration in me.

YOU WILL INSPIRE OTHERS - AN ORIGINAL ABSTRACT PAINTING

Hey Friends,  My soft side is showing up here with all this pink!  Still; I'm hoping this inspires you to buy it, paint one like it, or get the crayons out and make your own idea of inspiration.

This is painted on WC Paper this is gessoed first so the acrylics will not sink into the paper so fast.  Gives you a bit more time to work it.

Available on my website  HERE!
