Day 26 Almost done ! Myrtle Beach State Park #3

Hey Friends,  Some trees at Myrtle Beach State Park, SC.  I was told the salty sea air causes the trees to naturally prune themselves by dessicating the foliage on the sides facing the ocean.  The trees were more naked and flat on the right sides but it just looked stupid to me in this little painting.  So I fixed it OR did I?

Day 23 of Leslie Saeta's Challenge "Myrtle Beach State Park #2"

Hey Friends,  This is another version of Myrtle Beach State Park, SC.  It feels incomplete or non-descript, may be a better word.  Not enough contrast, esp. on my monitor.

I will most likely re-do this one.  But I'll go ahead and let the world see my screw up only because of this challenge.

Hey Friends,  My piece for Day 16.  The back yard again at the vacation house in Myrtle Beach, SC.  The little short white fence with the contorted trees (I don't know what kind they are) was a challenge for me.  I can't paint a straight line.

Day 7 of the 30 Day Challenge

Hey Friends,  Still chugging along.  I believe I took about 400 photos of the birds on the beach at Myrtle Beach, SC.  We would feed them popcorn and pretzels.  They came in a big burst.  Almost made the sky disappear.  This guy is really embellished with the colors.  I've got a couple more drawn out and ready for me to paint (today I hope).

Day 6 of Leslie's 30 day challenge

Well here it is Day 6.  I remember the other challenge seemed to drag on forever and was over quick as a wink.  Time is a funny thing.  We never have enough of it and we wonder where it went.
Just like the week we spent in Myrtle Beach....Where did the time go?  I only got a handful of paintings done, certainly not enough for this challenge.  But I think I'll get ahead this week because it's negative degrees here in SW Virginia and I certainly don't want to go outside.  I'll just sit here by the wood stove and paint.   She (above) is up for auction in Ebay.

Day Two Original Watercolor

Hey Friends,  Day 2 already.   I've listed this in Ebay, with auction starting at a penny.  This was painted plein aire, mostly.  I was on the porch of the Whitacker House in N. Myrtle Beach, SC. last week.  The light was pretty flat and it was windy so I stayed on the porch. (If you can't run with the big dogs-stay on the porch, right?)
Enjoyed every minute of it.
