Making an Image Bigger

 
Hey Friends,  I've been playing with blogger again.  I can't seem to do exactly what I want.  I wanted to make the images I post here larger.  I have been going by instructions from Karen Marqulais ........
I did find the area where I made the side bar more narrow so bigger photos could fit (actually I THINK I did this correctly-I haven't published this post yet so it may not work for me)
So I think I've succedded.
The top img is a close up of a commission I'm working on.  Bottom img is my initial start.  I'm not finished but I like it a lot and hope the couple like it too.

Happy Little Paintings at Jetter Farm

 Hey Friends,  The internet service with Comcast really sucks!!  Not just occassionally, but every day I wind up waiting for hours to get a connection.  Wish there was some alternative.

The photo above shows the view/scene I was painting.  Not very good, you can't see the truck way in the distance, but you can see my base color - Magenta !!  I love to start a painting on a bright color.

 This photo shows my whole easel thing.  It's a cheap Daler Rowney tripod but I like it.  It'll work until I can afford a REAL plein-aire outfit.

This shows a very good start.  I will take it home and study it and then finish with a few details.  Mainly in the truck.  I have time to start another, yay!!   So this means I come home with 3 paintings.  The image below is my finished painting.  That red truck turned out way smaller than I thought it would.

We are having a special show at Gallery 108 in October.  Otherwise, I would start posting these in my DPW store.  I actually think posting these will be a big waste of time because everyone at DPW is a plein-aire painter so my work will be nothing new except if you're looking for something from SW Va. , like our mountains or rivers or ponds.  I'll show the other two paintings tomorrow.  I've been on this computer all day and I'm worn out.  Computers don't come naturally to me (do they anybody) so IT IS work to me.  Painting esp. plein-aire is hard work too.  But a different kind of work and a different kind of exhaustion.  It's good.

WHAT THE HECK?!

Hey Friends, Obviously something is wrong here. Last night I had a lot of trouble posting the tidbit below. Blogger kept saying I had incorrect HTML. Well, I fooled with it for a while but the thoughts of the monster worm from China in the back of my mind kept getting bigger! So I shut her off. Now I'll have to call in the geek squad. Hopefully she can restore the missing stuff usually found on the right.

ART ON A MISSION

Hi Friends, A quick post to tell you of some BAD news. ART ON A MISSION is closing! Makes me feel like crying. The gallery fees went to the Rescue Mission and like most charitable org. they need every nickel they can find. Plus on the selfish side they were one of the few places that was still selling my artwork in this economy. I put a lot of effort into helping them push my work or maybe make it visible is a better statement. They had a wonderful, friendly,caring staff. I will miss them.
On the bright side, Pam (director of Art on Miss) says there is a really good possability of AOM opening in another sight with better layout and maybe a cafe! Will not know until this spring. I'm really hoping this comes true.
I plan on picking up what is left of my inventory there on Jan. 15th, next Thurs. So if anyone wants to lessen my load, go to AOM in Tanglewood Mall before next Thursday. They are located next to JCPenney-lower level.
Now, I'm going to paint a little more and go back to blogger to study how to add a widget or thingy for my Etsy store!!!!!!!!!
