Hey Friends, I decided to throw a few of my Dictionary Art into this challenge. After all I must work on them if they are to be finished. Why did I choose hammer for "H"?
I use a hammer to make my frames but mostly because I always think of my Dad when I see a hammer. He was a rock mason and carpenter. His right arm was a bit bigger than the other from swinging a 20 lb. hammer ( I could be as crazy as a bat on that 20 lb thing) but that's what I remember. I also remember that he always tried to drive a 6 penny nail in 2 swings.
And that is a real nail there on the piece.
I'm trying to become more efficient in my posting on this blog and the DPW store. I haven't listed anything there for a while because it ALL takes up so much time. My desire is to post on this blog, then put the work in my Etsy store and have the DPW link to Etsy.
I'm gonna give it another try. Wish me success.

"E" is for egg - Newest Dictionary Painting
Hey Friends, My latest dictionary page collage. I chose egg for E because they are colorful and mean so much for so many. These are 6" square and have turquoise painted edges. they are varnished and ready to hang. It is in my ETSY shop which I hope is clickable (my 'puter is acting up)

New Mixed Media Painting in my Etsy shop
Hey Friends, I just listed this small painting 6x6 in my Etsy shop. I haven't posted anything in this shop for a long time. I was just disillusioned with all the time it takes to each one. Etsy has made some changes and it didn't seem to take very long tonight, so maybe I'll stick with it or maybe I didn't do something right.
This little piece is something a bit different for me. It was fun. I am making my way through the alphabet with an old dictionary I found at Goodwill. The acorn is from an old painting done a few years ago. I printed it on Sumi Paper so it's translucent, a bit of the print shows through.
I love to do the thing with the old-fashioned paper doll cut outs, you know the banner of acorns across the top. I use that as often as possible.
It is varnished and ready to hang.
